The new addition is taking shape and is giving the house an entirely new look. Well, I guess I should say, the whole renovation is giving both the inside and outside of the house a new look. Every room in the house has changed. Today Ricky and Sam continued working on the dining room and also put new boards for the porch to replace those that had rotted. While Ricky and Sam were outside working, the painter was putting primer on door frames, window frames, and molding and Chet, an awesome electrician, was replacing receptacles and switches. Chet has basically had to rewire the whole house and I will no longer have to live in a poorly lit or poorly wired house. I now have recessed lighting in all the rooms except the laundry room, closets, and upstairs bath.

I was so excited to see this light switch today. Its the one that
is at the top of the stairwell but has been
covered up with sheetrock mud. Now we can turn the light
on at the top of the stairs and not have to walk down in the dark! |

All the outlets are covered in blue painters tape. |
