What Happened Yesterday...

Yesterday Bo and Sean put the board and batten on the dormers! The pictures don't look that great because by the time I got home it was almost dark. Ricky worked inside putting shoe molding down in the master closet and bath. The painters put a coat of paint in the dining room and great room. Our cabinets were not delivered today because of the rain storm we've had all day long. Maybe tomorrow....

The catfood container was on the front porch until some
creature kept stealing it and taking it out in the yard.

Light up My Life!

Chet was here yesterday putting the lighting in the dining room and covered porch. He also put a flood light on the north side of the house but we have yet to find the switch that turns it on. Hmmm...wonder where its hidden? He installed one of the pendant lights that goes over the bar so I could see how it looks. I like the pendant but wish I could find a different globe. He also put the fans up on the covered porch. Bo and Sean worked on putting the board and batten on the front of the dormers and Ricky finished the grout on the shower in the master bath. Doug went to the cabinet place to inspect the redo of our cabinets and he said they are looking good so far. Maybe we can get them back soon! Doug and I spent all day Saturday shopping for a stove, refrigerator, fans, lights, door knobs, etc.

Where is Waldo?

Waldo was tired of roaming around and has finally decided to settled down for good. He is surrounded by beautiful tile, new windows, and has a great view. Now that Waldo is settled,  Ricky has turned his attention to the shower and has been busy installing more tile.

Fascia Board, Woodbox Door, and Floor

Bo and Sean finished the board and batten trim  along the back and side of the house. They are now working on the columns on the front porch. Ricky put a new door on the fireplace woodbox. He also covered the floors with paper to prevent them from getting damaged.

The black part was rotten and had to be ripped out and replaced.

Bo and Sean replaced the rotten boards  with new treated material then
covered them with a moisture barrier.

Railing on front porch was removed so Bo and Sean
could wrap the columns with the siding material.

Floors are covered with paper to prevent damage.

Outside Updates

A lot of progress has been made over the last few days. Bo and Sean have continued putting up the board and batten. Ricky and Joe  worked on the floors inside then moved outside  to put up columns on the stoop and porch. They also worked on the door that goes under the house.

Floors

Ricky started sanding the floors in the dining room, kitchen, and greatroom last week. Today he put the first coat of finish on the floors. Smell those fumes!!

Cabinets are Gone

We've had a few setbacks with some of our cabinets and had to send them back to the manufacturing company. We hope to have them back in place by Friday of this week.

Bathroom vanity. The center piece has to go back to the
company. It is supposed to drop down and not go straight across.

Kitchen cabinets have been removed and sent back.Wow!

is so lonely (is she Waldo's sister, Wilma)?
